
Haaland double sends Norway past Senegal
Norway secured their place in the World Cup knockout stage with a thrilling 3–2 victory over Senegal in Group I.
Marcus Pedersen opened the scoring in the 43rd minute after taking advantage of a defensive mistake. Erling Haaland doubled Norway’s lead shortly after half-time with a composed finish.
Ismaïla Sarr pulled one back for Senegal in the 53rd minute, but Haaland restored Norway’s two-goal advantage five minutes later with his second of the match.
Sarr scored again in stoppage time to set up a tense finish, but Norway held firm to claim all three points.
The result leaves Norway level with France on six points, while Senegal must win their final group match to keep their qualification hopes alive.
