Mbappé double sends France into knockout stage

France secured their place in the World Cup knockout stage with a comfortable 3–0 victory over Iraq in Group I.

Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring in the 14th minute, marking his 100th international appearance with a powerful finish.

The second half was delayed by severe thunderstorms, but France quickly regained control after play resumed. Mbappé scored his second in the 54th minute after combining with Ousmane Dembélé.

Dembélé completed the scoring in the 66th minute as France maintained their perfect start to the tournament.

Iraq defended bravely for long periods but struggled to create clear chances against a dominant French side.
